Please print and complete the waiver form from our website and bring it with you. If you cannot, arrive 20 minutes early to fill it out and to tour the facility. Students under 18 must have a parent sign the waiver in advance or accompany them.
Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable workout attire (shorts, t-shirt or tank tops). No shoes are required inside the gym, but bring outdoor running shoes for cardio outside, weather permitting. If you have your own gear, bring it; otherwise, we offer gear for borrowing or purchase at the gym.
No prior experience is required. If you're completely new to Muay Thai, we'll pair you up with one of our experienced trainers to guide you through the basics and ensure you get off to a great start and gradually increasing difficulty as students improve.
Your first class will involve a warm-up, basic technique instruction, and perhaps some light partner drills and conditioning. Don't worry if you feel overwhelmed; take a break and get back at it when your ready to go again. Everyone starts somewhere, and the instructors are there to help you along the way and push you beyond your limits so you get the most out of your workout.
We are the only Authentic Muay Thai Gym in Guelph dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of age, gender, or experience level. More importantly, we aim to share the essence of Muay Thai, encompassing its traditional techniques, cultural significance, and historical heritage.
Phady's Muay Thai Guelph offers a mix level class, Community class with our Camrbidge Team mondays only, Kids class (6-12) sundays only, and fighters xclass fridays only. Additional classes will be added in the near future. Please check the current schedule on the bottom of the home page.
For those interested, we offer opportunities to compete in amateur and professional Muay Thai bouts. However, competition is entirely optional and conditional, and many students choose to train solely for fitness and self-defense purposes.
To become a member of the competitive team, coaches assess your qualifications, skills, conditioning, heart, discipline, attendance, punctuality, and more for approval. Once the coaches have selected who can compete you will be invited to a fight team tryout.
Yes, we offer private lessons for individuals or small groups. This is a great option for those who want to focus on specific techniques or have a more personalized training experience.
Once you are a member it is mandatory to wear a Phady's t-shirt along with any Muay Thai shorts during each classes.
Basic equipment includes hand wraps, gloves, shin guards, and muay thai shorts. . Advanced practitioners may also invest in additional gear such as headgear, mouthguard and groin protectors. Discounted gears are available through front desk.
Absolutely! Muay Thai is a high-intensity workout that combines cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises, making it an effective way to burn calories and boost overall fitness when paired with a proper diet and quality sleep.
Consistency is key. We recommend attending classes at least 2-3 times per week for 3 months at least to see noticeable improvements in technique, strength, flexibility and conditioning.
Our membership prices vary from $60-120/month. We also have prepaid and promo options that saves you money. We always advise trying out a complimentary class first to assess its value, and then we work closely with you to determine the best membership option.
